| Comments: | What beautiful transfers you've made . I found your site while researching the transfer process and read Norma Brown Hill's description of her method. I've taken 2 classes with Norma, once at FIT in New York and once in San Diego a couple years ago. She was using Polaroid film at that time. I was able to make some good transfers by following her instructions and using the Daylab printer, but when I try to use the Polaroid Land camera, the prints come out with a yellow tone and look muddy. Do you think it's the camera that's causing this? I'm using a model 240, not a top of the line like a 185 (which is so expensive? I would appreciate any help you can give me. |

| Comments: | I have been doing transfers for years and was saddened by the 669 film discontinuation by poloroid. The fuji film is hopeful, but i need tips on how to make it work. The brief "how to" [that you offer] is helpful, but i am wondering what else i need to know. like an idiot, i tried the process in the same manner as the 669 transfer and everything turned out brown and ugly! My manipulated images resemble yours, although i have not explored portraiture and figure work as you have. Lovely images, indeed! i have a stack of transfers that i plan to give as holiday gifts but i am torn because they are so beautiful! i do plan to photograph them first. maybe i can do transfers from the images!!!!!that's kind of a cool idea! Whilst at a yard sale I came across a daylab, which I bought. There isn't the inrerest in these techniques here in England as there is in the USA. Your images are a real insperation.
